Group visits
See behind the scenes at the ERO
We welcome group visits to the Essex Record Office and can take guided tours around the building to show your group how we care for our unique collections. Tours last approximately 2 hours, and we can accommodate groups of up to 16 people.
Standard tour - £93.25 for 2026/27
Includes:
- A tour of the Searchroom
- A small display of maps of a location of your choice
- A look inside one of our storerooms
- A small display of some of the treasures of the Record Office
- A visit to Conservation
Tour + bespoke document display - £160.00 for 2026/27
Includes:
- A tour of the Searchroom
- A look inside one of our storerooms
- A small display of some of the treasures of the Record Office
- A visit to Conservation
- A bespoke display of records from our collections on a theme of your choice
